Belk Bowl FanFest Concert Checklist: Here’s How to Prepare for Tim McGraw

Music Superstar Tim McGraw will perform live at the 2016 Belk Bowl FanFest concert at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. The concert will precede the match-up of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Virginia Tech Hokies. Here’s what you need to know to get ready for Tim McGraw:

1. Buy your Super Fan package or official Belk Bowl game ticket.

If you want to guarantee your spot at the Tim McGraw concert, you can purchase a Super Fan Package that includes your concert voucher. Otherwise, be sure to buy your official Belk Bowl game ticket by Tuesday, Dec. 27 before 11:59 p.m. to be eligible to attend the concert.

2. Redeem your official game ticket for a concert voucher.

Concert vouchers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and be distributed only to the first 10,000 fans who redeem their official Belk Bowl game tickets at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office during two redemption days. A limited number of vouchers will be given out each day.

  • Wednesday, Dec. 28 – 2 to 7 p.m.

  • Thursday, Dec. 29 – 8 to 11 a.m.
    • Here’s a map to show you where to get in line on Thursday.

All concert vouchers will either grant access to the field, a designated seat or a standing room area. Your seat location will be assigned at the time of the redemption. Seat assignments and field access for the concert are first-come, first-served. The “best seats” will be allocated to patrons who arrive first each day.

If you purchase a Super Fan package, you do not have to participate in the redemption process. Your concert voucher, which also grants you field access, will be included in your package.

3. Get your bags ready.

The concert will follow the same bag policy as the Belk Bowl at Bank of America Stadium. You will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates or when approaching queues of fans awaiting entry into the ballpark:

  • Any transparent plastic or vinyl bag no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″.
  • Small clutch purse no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″.
  • Seat pad that does not contain zippers, clasps, etc., and is not encased in vinyl.
  • An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include but are not limited to purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, seat cushions (see exception above), computer bags, camera bags, binocular cases or any bag larger than the permissible size.

4. Start early for the time of your life.

The gates will open for the Tim McGraw concert at BB&T Ballpark on Thursday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m., and the show will start at 2 p.m. A variety of concession stands will be open inside the ballpark. No re-entry allowed.
