Attractions

There is something for everyone in Charlotte, from the NASCAR Hall of Fame to the city’s diverse museums, cultural centers and performing arts venues, to a vibrant nightlife. When visiting Charlotte we encourage you to explore the unique and thrilling attractions that the Queen City has to offer. Our friends at Visit Charlotte have an interactive website that will allow you to plan the perfect trip, and if you have time see how many of the 101 Fun Things to Do in Charlotte you can check off the list.

We are proud of our hometown and to help guide you to the best trip you and your taste buds can take, the Belk and Belk Bowl staffs have compiled a list of their recommendations of where to eat when you are visiting the Queen City.

  • Chris Clouden, Director of Events - Pike’s Old Fashioned Soda Shop is located in Historic South End and is an easy ride on the LYNX Light Rail line (short walk from East/West Blvd. stop).  Good food, friendly service and great for families their menu has something for everyone.  My personal favorites are their fish tacos and chicken, but you can’t leave without getting one of their milkshakes.

  • Jason Lowman, Director of Ticket Sales - For me you can’t beat the Epicentre. It has some of my favorite places to eat, and after dinner you can experience some of the best nightlife in the heart of uptown. I personally recommend visiting Whisky River, Blackfinn American Saloon, and Vida Mexican Kitchen.

  • Miller Yoho, Director of Communications - Midwood Smokehouse is the best barbecue restaurant in Charlotte and is just a 10 minute drive from uptown in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Not sure what to get? Then I recommend ordering a Combo Platter to get the full North Carolina barbecue experience.
